The Center for Pharmaceutical Data Science Education (CPDSE) supports up to 6 scholarships in pharmaceutical data science to be initiated no later than 1 February 2027.
Scholarships
The CPDSE scholarships are designed to accelerate a student’s development, support academic exploration, strengthen their CV, and prepare them for research-related careers in pharmaceutical data science.
The scholarship must be combined with a master thesis project – either before (preferably) as an up-to-6-month pre-project – or after the master thesis project period (the applicant needs to be enrolled as a student during the scholarship period). The scholarship amounts to DKK 10,000 per month. The scholarship can be initiated between 1 August 2026 and 1 February 2027. It is expected that the student does not take on paid work during the scholarship or receive other grants.
Student affiliation
MSc students enrolled in one of following programs either at SDU or UCPH may apply:
- MSc in Pharmacy
- MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- MSc in Medicinal Chemistry
MSc students with connections to CPDSE but enrolled in other programs may also apply.
Supervisor affiliation
At least one of the supervisors must be affiliated with the CPDSE and based at one of the seven contributing departments at SDU or UCPH. The CPDSE-affiliated supervisor is expected to relate to CPDSE and contribute to the CPDSE community.
Student engagement
Scholarship holders are expected to advance and contribute to the CPDSE student community. Scholarship holders are invited to participate in CPDSE scientific and social activities, including the CPDSE retreat, and are expected to present their project and work at events organized by CPDSE or by the CPDSE core programs.
Scholarship outputs and publication
The output of the scholarship (a report, a ‘digital product’, an app, a database, a pharmaceutical data science teaching element, code etc.) should be openly accessible, in adherence with open science practices and disseminated in an appropriate way; such as via the CPDSE home page and/or as a poster in one of the PharmaDataHubs.
If the output of the scholarship results in a research publication, the Center for Pharmaceutical Data Science Education should be acknowledged for financial support.
